Family Friendly, Community Building Events
Cambridge Camping's Village Building Series is a year-round, cost-free program filled with engaging, inclusive, and joyful events designed specifically for families who meet income eligibility requirements. We invite children and families to build meaningful connections, form lasting friendships, and cultivate supportive mentoring relationships—all within a nurturing community setting. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Village Building Series #4: Thanksgiving Dinner and A Show
Our fourth 2025 Village Building Series event - a family Thanksgiving meal and live theater performance of Summer, 1976 at Central Square Theater
When Tuesday, November 25; dinner at 6:00pm and show at 7:30pm

Cost Free! CCA provides dinner (6:00pm) and theater tickets; we walk to the show together (5 minutes)
Village Building Series #3: Money Matters: Family Edition
Our third 2025 Village Building Series event - a two-part financial literacy workshop for teens and adults at East Cambridge Savings Bank

Cost Free! CCA provides dinner (5:30pm), a transportation reimbursement, a childcare reimbursement for younger siblings at home, and two evening seminars on a variety of financial topics

Our first 2025 Village Building Series event - a live theater performance of Jaja’s African Hair Braiding at the Speakeasy Stage!
When Wednesday May 28th, 5:15pm (Show at 7pm)
Where Meet at the Cambridge Camping office at 5:15pm for dinner, then travel to the 7pm show together
Ages Recommended 12+ (The show has some mature themes)
Cost Free! CCA provides dinner, transportation to the show, and theater tickets
