This past Giving Tuesday (#givingtuesday) kicked off our Holiday Charity Challenge Campaign with a boom! With the help of our dedicated donors and supporters, we have already reached 15% of our holiday fundraising goals.
The Giving Tuesday concept was developed to lend momentum to the start of the holiday giving season (much like Black Friday and Cyber Monday do for holiday shopping!). This Giving Tuesday saw a global increase in donations of 44% with total donations calculated somewhere around $168 million. Around the world, over 1.6 million individual contributions were made to various charities in the 24-hour period!
We feel so lucky to be a part of that here at Cambridge Camping. We know that the meaning of attending camp is so much more than just the sum of the parts of camp experience. We serve some of Cambridge’s most underserved youth, providing them with enriching and inspiring programs in which they can grow as individuals and as future community leaders.
We are much closer to our holiday fundraising challenge goal but still have a ways to go! Please help us share our campaign on social media, and through email and word of mouth - the online fundraiser goes until January 6th! This holiday season, give the gift of camp!
